Torchwood went through massive changes for series 3. The entire series was in 1 story, spread out in 5 parts, over 1 week. Each day from Monday to Friday with a new episode to continue Torchwood: Children of Earth. It moved to BBC One and told the story without Toshiko and Owen, after their deaths last series.
Series 3, Children of Earth starred John Barrowman as Captain Jack, with Eve Myles as Gwen Cooper and Gareth David-Lloyd as Ianto Jones until his death in Day Four. Kai Owen returned with a more significant role with Rhys Williams.
